We have decided to use mostly the art of the Post-Impressionist era (a predominantly French art movement that developed roughly between 1886 and 1905) as source material. Some of these artists were: Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Henri Rousseau, Paul Gauguin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Pierre Bonnard. Wikipedia describes them as being "dissatisfied with what they felt was the triviality of subject matter and the loss of structure in Impressionist paintings" and "though they did not agree on the way forward," they set out on a journey of exploration into a world of emotional expression through colour and form which had never before been attempted in art. And so it seems appropriate that your journey should also be a completely innovative and unique passage from questioning the existance of things towards a deeper and more fulfilling understanding of the greatest mystery - ourselves.

Now that you have considered which emotions and which moods have resonated with you after considering My Moods and these artworks, we ask you to hold onto those thoughts and emotions as you move into My Yoga Nidra Meditation.....
