Refreshing and changing ...

Sometimes things don't work, sometimes you do the wrong thing, like I did with my sage by overwatering it :-( Sadly it didn't recover and so it had to go and now I've just re-potted a new purple sage which I promise to be more careful with!

I also added some dianthus, which have lovely pink flowers, in the long trough pots to the violas which are starting to die off. They have re-seeded themselves though and hopefully they will continue to be self-propagating.

Summer is in full swing now and we have to water every day, especially the mint. Do a regular finger-tip check to feel the dampness of the soil in your pots and also keep up with a good liquid fertiliser!

Dianthus were added to the violas in the troughs

Here are the dianthus which should add some lovely colour to the troughs on the upper balcony.

Preparing to re-pot

I've also bought a strawberry plant which should spread into other pots.
